Soil Science Society of Poland

The Soil Science Society of Poland (SSSP) is an association of experts, scientists, practitioners and enthusiasts involved in soil research and protection. Our mission is to promote knowledge about soil, its importance for the natural environment, agriculture and human life, as well as to support scientific research and activities for soil protection.

Who are we?

For many years, the Soil Science Society of Poland has been a leading center for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of soil science in Poland. We work to popularize soil science, integrate the soil science community and support cooperation with national and international organizations.

Why is soil important?

Soil is the basis of life on Earth. Plants grow in soil, which provide food for humans and animals, oxygen and raw materials. Soil is also a key component of ecosystems, stores water, regulates the climate and neutralizes pollutants. Our goal is to sensitize society to the need of protection of this valuable resource.
